SWW Christmas Party

Dear Neighbors;

This year’s Christmas/ Holiday dinner party is Dec 6th, 6:30 PM, at Blind Tiger,
417 SW 37th St, a couple of blocks east of Topeka Blvd.

The Blind Tiger opened in May of 1995 featuring hand crafted locally brewed
beers, along with a full service bar. They offer steaks, BBQ, pasta and more
for dinner. The Blind Tiger won a Gold Medal at the World Beer Cup in May in
San Diego for their Maibock beer and another gold for their Kolsch beer at the
Denver Beer Festival in Oct. I am told the Kolsch, a lighter beer similar to an
American pilsner, should be available for our party.

We will order and pay individually.

4th of July Parade and Picnic

Hello Neighbors—

 

It’s that time of year—time for our Shadywood West July 4^th Picnic and Parade!

 

Be creative in planning for the parade! 

·       Form a Kazoo Band! 

·       Organize a Doggie Brigade! 

·       Turn your riding lawn mower into a parade float!

·       Watch the Parade from your lawn chair! 

·       And do be creative with your parade decorations…. Prizes given for the best parade “float” —be it a bike, a lawnmower, a car, a scooter, whatever!

  

DATE:  4th of July, of course!

  

TIME:  Parade starts at 10:00 a.m., with Potluck Picnic immediately thereafter

  

PLACE:  Parade to organize at 34th and Stonybrook.  Picnic starts immediately thereafter at 3455 SW  Brandywine Ct.   Larkin pool open to adults and children who have supervision from a family member. 

  

COST:  Free!   Families just need to bring lawn chairs, table service, drinks, and meat for their family as well as a dish to share with neighbors.  The grill will be fired up and ready!
